The family of Chrisley: A Look into Todd Chrisley’s Five children
Todd and Julie Chrisley of “Chrisley Knows Best” have been sentenced to prison for their blunders, and their 26-year-old daughter, Lindsie, has now taken to running things with her younger siblings.
No matter if you’ve ever watched an episode of Todd Chrisley’s reality series, you’ve probably heard his name.
Todd Chrisley who built a fortune from real estate in Georgia together with his co-star wife Julie Chrisley have been involved in shocking controversies ever since they were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud, as well as the defraud the United States. As reported by NBC News.
The couple got convicted back in June 2022 and then got their sentences in November. The U.S. attorney’s office said Todd Chrisley got a 12-year prison sentence, while Julie Chrisley got seven years. Todd Chrisley’s lawyer, Bruce Morris, already told NBC News he wants to appeal. Both of them started their prison time this January.
Weiner Law Group LLP’s new attorney for Julie and Todd Chrisley is Jay Surgent, who said in July 2023 that the couple had filed the appeal.
Todd, 54, gained notoriety as the conservative head of the family on the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best” on the USA Network, which showcased his family’s extravagant lifestyle and the highs and lows of their lives.
Savannah Chrisley, Chrisley’s daughter, who is just 25 years, revealed her feelings on her podcast about the custody of her younger siblings, Chloe and Grayson, just before her parents were sentenced.
She said she got home Tuesday and, out of nowhere, she was looking after a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old. Savannah also told that this was the first Thanksgiving they spent not as a complete family.
Savannah shared her struggles in trying to teach her siblings to navigate the situation. She added that it was a really difficult experience.
Savannah expressed that she must serve as a positive example for Chloe and Grayson. She remarked about the difficulties she faced in doing that, but she felt she had to keep being there for them no matter how much harder it got.
But who makes up this family? Discover all of Todd Chrisley’s five children below.
Lindsie Chrisley
33-years-old Lindsie Chrisley is Todd’s oldest child from his first marriage to Teresa Terry and was a former cast in the reality TV show “Chrisley Knows Best.”
Following Todd’s other children, she joined “Chrisley Knows Best” earlier in its 2014 season. However, this reality TV star is now residing in South Carolina, where she moved in 2017.
And it was at that moment that she had argue with her father. In a People magazine story in 2019, Lindsie’s attorney confirmed the fact that she has been estranged from her father and stepmother since 2017 through a People magazine story in 2019.
Lindsie, now a host of “The Southern Tea” and “Coffee Convos,” has had her fair share of rough patches with her father through the years.
For instance, after Lindsie announced her divorce from Will Campbell via Instagram in 2021, her father replied with a post of his own on Instagram. Lindsie recently shared on “Coffee Convos” podcast that she felt completely devastated that it went public especially whereas they had each other’s phone numbers.
She dismissed the allegations claiming she had turned in her family to police. As per the statement by her lawyer in 2019, People quoted:” It has been reported that Lindsie was the information source which led to the arrest of her father,” but clarified, “that is not true and I am not the source of that information.”
Even though she and Todd weren’t close, Lindsie asked folks to pray for her dad in a May 2022 Instagram post, saying, “I know you are innocent…”
When Lindise’s father and stepmother were found guilty of fraud, she posted on Instagram and stated that she was “deeply saddened.”
Lindsie affirmed that reconciliation was just out of the question in 2021. She explicitly refused this in her interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2021 by saying, “I will never reconcile.” She added, “Now, all anyone can wish for is that every party will get to lead their life as they want and not bother the other one.” She said that there was, at this stage, absolutely no chance of reconciliation.
But that changed. Lindsie spoke during an episode of “The Southern Tea” in July 2022: “There isn’t anything related to the current reconciliation and my father’s trial.”
She made it clear that there was no reconnection because of legal causes. The reality was, it happened because of her divorce. She said, after her divorce became public, her dad posted, “’I’m here, I love you, whatever’s going on in your life right now I see it.’ That’s how we ended up getting back in touch.”
In April 2023, she mentioned visiting her dad in prison and that he seemed to be doing okay.
”My parents were welcomed with open arms. I most definitely feel very lucky about that because I have heard of other people reporting and that not being the case,” she said in a podcast episode.
Kyle Chrisley
The 32-year-old Kyle Chrisley is one more child of Todd from the previous marriage.
Kyle had been somewhat estranged from Todd for a period, similar to Lindsie, until they reconciled in 2019.
In a Facebook post during the same year, Kyle revealed, “Nine months ago I went to my dad with an apology; his words were ‘I love you always, and you are forgiven,’ and with that, I was back in his life as if nothing had happened.
Kyle decided to leave the family reality show after only one season, just like Lindsie has done. Kyle had an episode of Chrisley Confessions with his dad in 2019 where he explained about substance abuse, mental health issues, and a suicide attempt – that got him hospitalized, as per E! News report.
So, another kid took Kyle’s place on the show – it was his kid, actually.
Kyle and his former girlfriend, Angela Johnson, had a daughter named Chloe, born in 2012.
As previously reported on TODAY, Todd and Julie raised their granddaughter because of Kyle’s drug abuse, confessing to fans during the “Chrisley Confessions” episode. Julie added to TODAY that Chloe does not have any relationship with her biological mother. After Todd and Julie reported to prison, Savannah acquired guardianship over her niece.
According to police, Kyle was arrested in Tennessee in March after becoming involved in an incident at his workplace.
The Smyrna Police Department stated in a declaration that Kyle was charged with aggravated assault after reportedly getting into a “physical altercation with a supervisor.” He allegedly pulled a “fixed blade” before the incident ended.
As of August 11, it was unknown whether Kyle remained charged or if the case had been altogether dismissed. The Smyrna Police Department did not respond to requests for comment submitted by TODAY.com.
Chase Chrisley
Chase Chrisley: The 27-Year-Old First-born Child of Todd and Julie.
Chase started the Chase Chrisley Collection, his own line of candles, to declare himself a reality TV star in every season of “Chrisley Knows Best.”
He was even able to expand his reality TV credential. Chase made an appearance on the spin-off “Growing Up Chrisley” with his younger sister Savannah, who appeared alongside him in the show for four seasons until its cancellation in 2022.
Chase publicly spoke about the horrendous conditions in the prisons where his parents were incarcerated. He said on the July 25th episode of “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley” that his parents lived through a “nightmare.”
He elaborated saying how both of them were without any air-conditioning: They are in a place where the temperature can easily cartwheel over 100 degrees, and there is no air-conditioning.
Chase further stated that he didn’t care if someone had committed a serious crime, asserting, “If you’re in a government facility, you should have air conditioning.” His sister, Savannah, interjected, saying that “air conditioning is the least of it.”
Savannah acknowledged that while no one might have sympathy for prisoners, she knew the conditions were worse, mentioning issues like “black mold, asbestos, lead-based paint, [and] snakes.”
In his most recent post, he praised his sister as an inspiration.
“Happy birthday @savannahchrisley,” he wrote beside the carousel of pictures. She expressed how proud she was of the woman her sister had become and continued to be. She mentioned that her sister inspired everyone around her to be better and stay strong. She shared her gratitude to God for giving her such an amazing sister!
Savannah Chrisley
Savannah Chrisley is the only daughter of Todd and Julie together – and at 26, she is the youngest of them all.
The former Miss Tennessee Teen USA said in her words that “she is a daddy’s girl”. After her parents got arrested in 2019, she stood by them posting a Bible quote to her Instagram story, according to People.
Savannah started her own cosmetic company, Sassy, in 2020. Before this, she had made a name for herself in fashion designing with an HSN line of her own-an early win she credited to the support of Todd.
Back in 2017, when she started her Faith Over Fear line, she told People magazine that her dad was her biggest supporter. She described him as her best friend, adding that she couldn’t have made it happen without him.
With an Instagram post on June 17, 2022, Savannah publicly declared her support for her parents after their conviction. She continued in the caption to declare her intention to “continue to stand by (her) family and fight for justice” while stating, “The fight isn’t over.”
Recently, the reality star said she had felt “let down by God” and that her prayers had “been unmet.” However, she is holding her faith close, praying for “strength, hope, and love.”
She openly confessed to the grueling challenge of being a young single woman taking care of her teenage younger brother and niece since their parents’ imprisonment.
In a post dated July 26, she said she is not their mom or dad, but their sister, and that she gets the privilege of loving and guiding them through life. Being a bonus parent? Yeah, she knows that gig can be a real challenge. “No one could ever be their parents. But they sure poured love, patience, grace, understanding, and appreciation into my heart!”
She mentioned that raising Grayson and Chloe has been the hardest job ever, but the most worth it.
She often said, “God meant for me to be a mama!”—though she never expected the journey to begin a little sooner than anticipated.
Grayson Chrisley
Seventeen-year-old Grayson Chrisley is the youngest child of Todd and Julie. Aside from that, he featured in an episode of “Chrisley Knows Best.” He is indeed a very active teenage boy-devoted to playing in some high school baseball games and being a part of the Redbirds Baseball Club, which is based in Tennessee.
On November 12, 2022, a car accident happened with Grayson just days before the sentence hearings of his parents. This incident was recalled by Todd Chrisley on an episode of the podcast “Chrisley Confessions” on November 17. He told that they got a call regarding the accident and that they were asked to go to Grayson. Todd rushed out of the house, sank into the car, and found Grayson on the highway with ambulances and paramedics around him.
Todd vividly remembered seeing Grayson on a stretcher in the back of the ambulance, crying. He remembered that the police stopped him for a little while before they let him go to his son. All Todd could think of was, “Thank you, God.” Grayson was alive and crying.
In May 2022, Todd shared a lovely message about his son on Instagram for Grayson’s birthday. He stated that 16 years ago, it was one of the greatest days of their lives. Todd continued to express his gratitude, thanking God every day for sending them Grayson and loving him more than words could ever express with all his heart. He also thanked Grayson for simply being Grayson.
While talking with older sister Savannah on her podcast in June, Grayson claimed that his parents being locked away was worse than if they had died. Time’s just a waste, he said. I mean, if someone dies, that’s it. You don’t get any more time with them, ever.
