Camera

The DJI MINI 3 PRO is an ultralight drone from DJI designed specifically for novice pilots. DJI has unveiled their first dual camera setup in one of their smaller drones – featuring a wide-angle main camera and optical zoom telephoto lens – with a 3-axis mechanical gimbal for smooth video and still photography. The main camera offers resolution of up to 12MP effective photosites at 2.4mm effective photosites resolution; 48MP when scaled up!

When it comes to video, the Mini 3 Pro offers impressive recording abilities: 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 120 fps for buttery slow-mo. Furthermore, this camera supports high dynamic range images (HDR) capture as well as RAW capture for increased post-processing flexibility.

D-Cinelike technology supports D-Cinelike mode on this drone, using 10-bit color depth for maximum shadow and highlight recovery in post-processing, giving greater creative control of your images. Furthermore, its built-in panorama modes such as Sphere 180deg Wide can be activated simply by pressing shutter button twice while in selfie mode.

Auto mode on the Mini 3 Pro tends to overexpose slightly, so switching to manual and using the histogram to ensure optimal exposure every time is highly recommended if flying on bright days or sunset when sunlight might reflect off roads and sidewalks.

DJI has upgraded the Mini 3 Pro’s obstacle avoidance sensors and implemented an intelligent tracking feature known as ActiveTrack that enables it to follow subjects at different speeds and angles without losing track. ActiveTrack even follows running subjects as demonstrated in this video clip.

Battery

DJI MINI 3 PRO features an advanced battery for extended flight times and temperature control system to prevent overheating of its drone, by sensing ambient temperature changes and powering down automatically if they reach unsafe levels.

Additionally, the DJI MINI 3 PRO features an HDR feature which optimizes image details when shooting video or taking photographs at frame rates over 30fps for enhanced visual quality.

Will the DJI MINI 3 PRO battery work with the DJI MINI 4 Pro? Yes, these batteries should work without issue on both models; their only difference in terms of voltage should not pose much of a hurdle as most drones do not charge their batteries all the way back up before placing it back into use.

Flight Modes

In addition to its impressive image quality, the Mini 3 Pro features intelligent flight modes designed to help you create amazing content. FocusTrack, MasterShots, Hyperlapse and QuickShots will help you craft professional-grade footage even as a new pilot.

The Mini 3 Pro features a tiltable gimbal of up to 60 degrees, making low-angle shots easy. In addition, its new flight mode known as Point of Interest lets you fly directly to an area and capture video sequences around it automatically.

ActiveTrack 4.0 is another exciting feature available on the Mini 3 Pro that helps it track objects and avoid obstacles while keeping its camera focused on your subject matter. This makes for an excellent feature if you are just learning how to pilot, or want your drone for action sports and other high-speed activities.

The Mini 3 Pro stands out from its predecessor with its Pro moniker clearly displayed on its wings, offering improved image and video quality as well as faster maximum flying speeds, portrait-oriented remote controller use and increased maximum flying speeds – an important feature for creators seeking more detailed videos or creating innovative edits.

The DJI Mini 3 Pro boasts a maximum flight speed of 57 kilometers per hour and can fly for 34 minutes when using the Intelligent Flight Battery or 47 with Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. Furthermore, this aircraft performs admirably against wind with an impressive Level 5 wind resistance rating.

As with other Mini drones, the Pro version comes equipped with an intuitive and simplified DJI Fly app that displays all photo, video and intelligent flight mode settings in an easily navigable fashion on one screen. Furthermore, this application enables users to modify different settings such as photo sizes/formats/calibration frequencies etc. Additionally, D-Cinelike (a semi-professional flat image shooting profile that offers greater post production flexibility and color possibilities) is supported as an optional shooting profile.

Remote Control

The DJI Mini 3 Pro includes the RC-N1 Controller which is similar to that of Mavic 3, Air 2S and Mini 2. Although smaller in size than its counterpart RC-N2, it still provides great features including a clear 5.5″ touchscreen with 700-nit brightness for easy operation and dedicated phone holder support. Furthermore, this lightweight yet portable system weighs just 390g combined (drone + controller).

The 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor captures more light, producing images with true-to-life colour reproduction. Its dual native ISO provides superior image quality while HDR shooting is available through Single Shot mode for both photo and 4K video capture.
