Mass Shooting in Texas: Two Dead, At Least Six Injured, Including Children

Two people were killed and at least six others – including two children – were injured in a shooting at a festival in Texas on Saturday night, officials said.

The Round Rock Police Department said officers are investigating the shooting that happened at Old Settlers Park on Saturday evening.

“The investigation is ongoing. Please avoid the area,” the department wrote on Twitter.

EMS for Austin-Travis County wrote that they responded to a “mutual aid request for a reported mass shooting.”

Medics transported four adults and two children to local hospitals, “all with potentially serious injuries,” it wrote.

Video footage posted on social media shows a large police presence at the scene following the shooting. One clip reportedly shows officers surrounding a possible suspect.
