All Three Murders in Pickering in 2025: Fire Death Suspect in Custody

Police in Durham have verified that a lady who was found dead after a house fire in Pickering was killed.

Pickering has been the scene of all three murders in 2025. The first time was on May 2, when the police said they had found a man’s body. The second one was about a 14-year-old child who stabbed an old woman on May 29 (see the tales below).

Around 2:20 p.m. on June 11, emergency services were called to a home near Primrose Court and Fairport Road to find the third homicide. Inside the house, a 69-year-old woman was found dead.

The Durham Regional Police Homicide Unit is now in charge of the case after a post-mortem examination. This is the third murder in the area this year, according to the police.

A 34-year-old woman from Pickering was arrested, charged, and held for a bail hearing on Tuesday, June 17. You may find the name and more information at www.drps.ca.

There is a new suspect in the case, and the inquiry is still continuing on. Right now, investigators think this is just a one-time thing and that the public is not in danger.
